Do you Own and Ride more then one Road bike other then having secondary as a TT type

I am thinking of having a second road bike to rotate back and forth
do many other riders that do recreational racing have more then one road bike?

Would this be a good idea?

I have two roadies, a tt bike, and a cross bike. During good weather I pretty much always ride my Parlee unless racing a tt or training for a tt. The Fuji roadie is used mostly during bad weather or if something is wrong with my Parlee. The cross bike is used when I feel like taking it really easy or really hurting myself or if there is a decent amount of snow.

I have 4 road bikes, 2 fixed gears, 1 single speed, and 1FGFS after you buy the 2nd bike it become a problem haha. Mine are vintage road bikes, I ride them all though, switching the garmin cadence sensor is kind of annoying.

I own more than 1 road bike and I can only ride 1 road bike at a time.

I have two road bikes, one is for commuting, running errands that would require me to lock the bike up, and riding in the rain. Given a choice, I prefer the nice bike every time, but I don't always have that choice. I wouldn't just ride one or the other though.

I ride a few different road bikes right now, both Rivendells...but not at the same time as that would be silly. I don't know why I would ever purchase a TT bike, but I hear they are aero and awesome.

I have an old Olmo I just built up using parts I had laying around. 6500 triple groupset with some bontrager race lite wheels. Once I get the tires I ordered I will have another road bike to have fun with. The next bike project is going to be building up the Lemond Zurich frameset I have had laying around for over a year.

I really enjoy taking older frames and making them work as designed again. It's interesting feeling how different one frameset can feel compared to another while being the same size.

I own a couple. I have 4 year old giant defy that I now never ride because I got a huge upgrade to the di2 and splurged on some zipps. Now I just can't stand to ride my old one. Tis a shame

It depends on what qualifies.
I have Roubaix that ride events and train on. It's either locked in a locked garage or I'm on it.
I have a cross bike that I turned into a commuter with fenders lights and a rack, so maybe a road bike?
I have an old 70s steel Tour de France bike that I turned into a fixed/SS that I sometimes commute on, or take where i might need to lock it outside in the real world. Is that a road bike?

Got a couple that I ride. Orbea Onix and a Soma ES. I like the Orbea, but I like the Soma more. Love bikes with versatility.

I have a '98 Cannondale road bike. I can't bear to part with it. I use it for commuting on the "questionable" weather days. It's also outfitted with lights, so it sees more regular use once the available natural light starts getting limited (which is a good portion of the year here in New England).

My other bike is a '04 Calfee. It sees all other regular duty.

I have a 'winter' bike and a summer bike. I leave fenders on the 'winter' bike and ride it when the roads are wet in the winter. During the winter I leave the 'summer' bike on the trainer. Both are setup the same with the same components.

I have 3 nice road bikes. I think I ride my Roubaix the most. On some "just for a nice relaxing ride" days I ride my classic Italian Tommasini steel bike. I ride my Tarmac on shortish rides under 50 miles.

So far I have all ways ridden my Roubaix on Centuries and organized multi day tours.

I currently have a road bike and a cyclocross bike. The cyclocross bike is for poor weather/winter riding or as a back up to my other bike if it is down for some reason (like now). I'm not opposed to owning more though. However, my wife may argue that thought though.

my carbon affinity road bike i use for training and general riding. it's my "go hard" bike.
my cannondale caad10 is my casual ride with friends that have a road bike, but don't do big rides that i do. it's a little less intimidating (not so much carbon smacking you in the face) and it's my race bike. it was also my first road bike, and has since gone down the ranks to where it is
my fixed affinity lo-pro is my bar bike/errands bike, though i use my road bike if i have a ton of errands everywhere.

and, of course, now i'm eyeing a scott foil and some cervelos. it never ends...

i have 2 road bikes a Ridley and a custom Tiemeyer. i ride both equally switching every other week rather hard rides or easy tempo

I have two road bikes.My touring bike is a Surly LHT and my most recent purchase is a One week old Giant defy composite 2.
I'm not sure wich I like better the LHT is slow and heavy but super comfortable made for just riding and taking in the sights.
The giant is fast and fun and also very comfortable.

Jeez, the Classic and Vintage forum regulars would put you guys to shame. Most have 10 or more road bikes. :)

I ride my Orbea most of the time; the Bianchi San Jose for commuting or with my wife; the Paramount also set up for commuting. The Pinarello for road riding. The Gardin was set up for upright cruising but the geometry is too aggressive so I'll swap the north road bars for drop bars. Still have a couple more to finish building up; the Colnago Master is on the stand now.

Next you guys will tell me you only have one car or something. ;)

3 classic roadies, one modern steel, and one carbon bike that I'll be selling shorty... I never ride it. I ride all the rest, but one of them gets ridden the most. I'm working on a 4th classic steel bike and then I'll tell myself I'm done before I start another build.

Caad 3 is the Warrior, Caad 9 is the racer along with the 06 Orbea Onix, Klein is always on the trainer outfitted with power cranks, Trek oclv 120 its like an 06 I think(madones grandaddy) converted to a TT. Was demoing a Swift TT but it was nothing but problems.

Yeah I have 6 road bikes right now. :( All are pretty decent (105 or better bikes). I bought a couple because they were a great deal, but I didn't really need em. I need to sell 4 of them. I find when I buy a bike I often need to change the gearing or else I don't like riding it. Hey at least I'm not like the vintage guys with 100+ bikes I guess.

I only really ride 2. Either my BMC Road Racer DI2 bike or the $300 used raleigh 105 aluminum bike with a deore rd so I can run an 11-32 cassette.

So true. That's where I usually hang. My collection of seven bikes is pretty modest by comparison. That said, the value of my seven vintage bikes combined is probably around the cost of one high-end modern race bike.
