Need some advice!
Hello all!
I would like ur input on my situation. I currently ride a trek 1.1. Had it almost three years and I am looking to upgrade. The trek madone 5.2 is on sale for $2700 so I went to check it out. When I got there there was also was a cannondale supersix evo with ultegra di2 on sale for $4100. The 5.2 is mechanical ultegra. After talking awhile and test riding both I decided to sleep on it and the shop is holding the cannondale for 24 hours. I started the process of upgrading last year and decided to not spend the money and wait a year. I have looked for awhile and like the madone just never considered the cannondale until I got there. I really like the di2 but don't know if it is worth spending the extra money? Would like ur opinion on the better deal and I know I am comparing two brands at two levels. Any input would help. |
All selection decisions can be made using this simple formula: choose the one you really want regardless of price, or the one with the bigger hoots.

Excluding the mech/elec variable simply because the electronic Kool-Aid is so strong. Go with the most comfortable frame (ride) knowing that your levers/drivetrain will be great either way. It will boil down once again to value, and these threads can get pretty contentious among the elitists and the utilitarians.

Thanks. Am think I am gonna go with the madone and save my money. Gonna test ride tonight again!

Go with the one you really like. If you have the disposable scratch, go for the Cannondale. Life is short.
