Proud of myself.....
I just installed two new Conti GP4000s tires on my bike with my bare hands (no tire levers or bead jack). No injuries to myself or my bike. I felt that I needed to tell someone since my wife wouldn't understand.

I'm proud of you sweetheart! ;)

Are certain brands easier to install than others? I have no problem mounting 700x23 tires on my bike but they are cheap origin8 tires.
edit: I don't have tire levers or strong hands |
I hate changing my wife's tube on her Trek Lexa. By the time I'm done, I don't even feel like a ride anymore. And that's with three tire levers. I must be doing it wrong.

its because some tire/rim combinations just don't work that well together. There was a good thread recently that discussed this topic. When you do find a tire/rim combo that easily mounts its a great feeling. I've found one with Conti/Mavic.
