BD stopped cutting corners, has the world come to an end?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This bike is also a really good deal, for a fair bit less than the Ti. Obviously a step down as well, but great Al with the new Ultegra kit.https://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...-roadbikes.htm

+1 they only skimped out on the brakes. That is a really good deal at $1,200.

The titanium from the OP, on the other hand, that's pretty hot looking.
Yeah, their paint jobs are just unfortunate.

I like that paint.
Reminds me of the current Madone 3.1 paint:

Strip it down, sell the frame (thing is that, it's be hard to find someone who can deal with the god-awful paint job)

I thought of doing this before. Maybe in the future
