Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rock on Garth.

Mine does too, but everyone sweats high voltage lines, and forgets that household 110/120AC is the biggest killer by far. A dropped screwdriver in a panel is an easy way to get an arc blast.

I took the OSHA 10 hr electrical safety course, and I wanted to move out into an unpowered cabin afterward. Every time I jump start a car, I run through all of the potential disastrophies.

I put both hands in my back pockets, while I'm watching the electrician work.

what is sad is that I'm not sure if I was here for the original. I think I was, but it could have been the start of Addiction II. I was involved in the original Go Ahead Ask PCAD everything over in Foo before they tied them all together and caused the Foo revolt (which pretty much was just VeloVol revolting)

My recollection is that at the beginning there were two threads...."Addiction" and "You Shall Covet," the first one was allegedly about PCAD and his bike, which essentially became foo for the 41, and the second one was more to talk trash about bike schwag...there was so much overlap that eventually the mods combined the two threads into one.

Sound right?

I'm very careful with standard 110/120, but I have a way to shut that stuff off through the fuse panel.

In the beginning, there was Addiction which brought down the mighty Bike Forum server and, as a result, was sent to a farm upstate. It was replaced by Addiction II which was eventually exiled to Pcad's Kingdom: Mt Doom. The Pope tried to establish a new outpost Thou Shall Covet the Latest Schwag Acquistion (or something like that). This coexisted with Addiction III for a time, but the two were ultimately merged.

Remember when Addiction would load with all those ghost pages? Razor would post 48 times before bed and then delete everything the next day. I think that killed the server hamster.

I think that was the original Addiction. He got banned in Addiction II, I think.

I didn't know the server hated phantom pages, I do remember iJen complaining about them, though.
