Cannondale Supersix Hi-Mod Fast Friday...thoughts and opinions

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cannondale Supersix Hi-Mod Fast Friday...thoughts and opinions

I have the opportunity to purchase a brand new Cannondale SS Hi Mod Fast Friday for $3200. From what I understand they only made this frames from 2010-2012? correct me if I'm wrong. bike has dura-ace groupset, mavic krysium sl wheels, thomson seatpost, fizik antares seat. I have the money but I could be perfectly content with a SS with 105s and save a grand or so. is this only a good deal or a great deal that I shouldn't pass on? thanks in advance

If it were me I would go with option two, get a bike for around 2 grand and them buy some nice wheels with the savings.

OTOH, that's a whole lotta bike for the money. If I were in the market for a top flight bike at a great price (assuming it was the right size and geometry), that one would be very tempting.

Is it the blue frame? If so, Fast Friday is an amature race team/club based out of Woodland Hills/Thousand Oaks area of outside of Los Angeles. I haven't been racing so I haven't seen what bikes they've been riding in 2013 but yes 2010-2012 sounds right. $3200 is a good deal assuming that the bike isn't someones beat up race machine. I wouldn't say it's an insane deal though.

Pretty good deal I'd say, if you don't mind the logos go for it. Dura Ace is a huge jump from 105, those were great bikes and the team/club I was with did the same bikes those years in our colors and they were kick ass.

you can also get a brand new 13' Cdale evo w/ current version of SRAM Red for $3200...comes with lifetime warranty and the Evo is the newest spin from the SS HM frame.

nice deal, I'm not sure where OP lives but for me this deal turns sour as I would have to pay another grand to fly over to the west coast to get it. They can't ship that bike.

Fast Friday race team is in North LA, so I assume he's close to San Diego.

Fast Friday is based out of the Conejo Valley. About 3 hours north of San Diego.
