KHS aluminum frames
just bought a used flite 300. opinions? is the frame(7005 aluminum) worthy of upgrading parts as old ones wear out. thanks
|
NObody knows anything about the company or the quality of their frames

I don't own one, and have never been on one but a friend/riding buddy of mine just got a Flight 500 about a month ago and she raves about it. She had a Fuji before this bike. Yes, the frame is worthy of upgrading parts as they wear, but what are you worried about wearing out? Other than chains and cassettes everyting else should last many years.

They were a mid-price point, Taiwanese manufactured brand sold through IBDs that got pulled under by the bankruptcy of another company in the late 90's. I guess they resurfaced.

It'll do the trick. They aren't the bottom and they aren't the top.
Considering you're the one with the new bike, maybe you'd like to tell us about it :) |
I've heard they crack easily. This was from my friend who works at a bike shop near where I live.

i like the bike. frame is stiff and the ride a tad harsh but the bike is responsive and agile. i was talking about upgrading to a 105 set-up and a solid wheelset. thanks

all of the oem stuff still works great and i like the frame. just thinking about upgrades down the road.
