Shogun!

Just finished it up this weekend. It's a rider/racer so a few bits and pieces were changed for safety and comfort.

Nice ... Rowan and I both have Shoguns. :)

rjones28 08-13-13 09:25 PM

Wow.

RoadMike 08-13-13 09:26 PM

Very nice. What are the wheel sizes on that?

escarpment 08-13-13 09:28 PM

That is some major drop.

And I see your rocking the tubulars, pretty sweet bike.

700 rear, 26" front.

Surprised at how stable the bike is at speed with the small front wheel. I hit 45 or so on one downhill and it was pretty solid.

Love it. Is the shifting just friction? Ballsy for tri's if so.....and awesome.

AzTallRider 08-13-13 10:06 PM

Way cool, and that's not even knowing the history and such.

kenji666 08-13-13 10:13 PM

How much does it weigh?

2 wheeler 08-13-13 10:19 PM

I haven't seen one of those in a loooooooooooooong time!!

revchuck 08-14-13 04:30 AM

Gorgeous! You need to run it (if you haven't already) at a club TT - you could crush 'em on both time and style points. :)

Very nice!

My first "real" roadbike was a shogun, circa 1984. It's long gone. Still holds some sentimental value.

Consider cross posting in C&V.

And I just posted how cool vintage bikes can be in nuke_diver's thread.

Point made.

Just curious; I thought GT had some exclusive on the triple triangle. Not so I guess...

Cookiemonsta 08-14-13 07:33 AM

Isn't the constant downhill considered an unfair advantage ? ;)

himespau 08-14-13 09:24 AM

pretty.

That's why the UCI made it illegal...
