Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bottom Bracket Question

Hello all,

I have a 2015 KTM Revelator 3500 bike with Shimano 105 groupset. I want to change the groupset to Sram Force 22 however I don't know which type of BB to select. When I checked I saw that the BB for my bike is Shimano BB72-41B. What is the Sram equivalent for this or is there any? Is this groupset upgrade possible?

Thanks a lot

The Sram cranks come in a GXP or BB30 version, just be sure to select the GXP version for your frame.

It looks like that Shimano BB is designed for BB86 bottom brackets. So, you will need a BB86 bottom bracket for Sram if you go with Sram cranks.
