Marinoni Bikes
Met this guy on our ride today with brand-new Marinoni road bike. Pretty nice-looking bike, but it occurred to me that, although Marinoni is a Canadian company, one sees them so rarely. I was curious if you folks ever come across them, especially in the States.

I've seen Marinonis in the states. They're really nice bikes and well regarded I think. But frankly the Canadians have done a lot better job of exporting high end stereo gear to the US (NAD, PSB, Paradigm, etc.) than bikes.

Also look into the Argon18. Another great Canadian brand that isn't cervelo

I am a proud Marinoni owner and have been for 10 years.

I have one that I bought new three years ago. Do see some older steel models now and then but don't think that I have see too many newer ones.
Like all smaller framebuilders, it is a tough business. I went to the Marinoni site a few weeks ago and noticed that they had moved to a XS,S,M,L sizing rather than offer the more traditional sizing options. Probably driven by more cost effective inventory management. Can't recall if this was always the case with their carbon models as I went with a frame that was still welded in Montreal. |
