I personally like brevity, and appreciate being able to communicate with one word instead of many.

I know "grouppo" has already been brought up but I hate it even more when someone says yeah I'm selling a bike with or yeah my bike has a FULL 105 (or whatever) grouppo when neither the crank nor the chain is 105. It's not a FULL "GROUPPO" if it's not the FULL GROUPPO!!

IMO:
"Kit"
"Parcours"
"Gruppetto"
"Bunch/peloton/pack"
"HC" for "hors categorie"
"domestique"
"soigneur"
...these are all British or European terms for bike-related or racing-related stuff. However, I feel using them is entirely appropriate for Americans to use these terms, it is what these things are called. "Kit" may be borderline, but "jersey and shorts" is clumsy and "outfit" is a little cutesy. At least "kit" is nice a short and describes what you're talking about. Also, lots of other sports have specific terms for the uniforms.
Having said that, using "bidon", "rain cape", "ramp", "gruppo" or "mech" is taking it one step too far. Other established, mainstream American English names exist for these things. Trying to use the Euro equivalent is pretentious.

I like tossing french phrases around. Sounds snobby, and fits in the cycling scene. As in "I'm new to the cycling scene". What? Are we filming a 1960s beach movie here?
C'est la guerre.
Said recently to a friend whose wife was jumpy riding in a relaxed group. "Slip a Valium into her bidon".

I dunno if it's been mentioned, but I don't like it when Americans call tiyers "tyres". That's why we declared war on Germany at Pearl Harbor.
Bidons and tyres. I'll get over it.

I might occasionally use "ramp" in a conversation where I've already said "hill," "climb," "slope," "speedbump," "obstacle" and "mutherfugger" and I'm running out of synonyms.
