How many of you wear pro team jerseys?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I typically wear my team kit. Occasionally I'll wear a shop jersey or my college's team jersey. I didn't race when I was in school, but I like to support them.

I also have a cheap Chinese knock off set. Under $40 for bib shorts and jersey. But I do feel ridiculous. If I could find a decent set of blank bib shorts and jersey for $40 I would buy it but unfortunately the cheapest option seems to be the bootleg Chinese ones that make you look like a human bilboard

I bought an on sale Saxo jersey from Pro Bike Kit...super comfortable, I really like it. Ill wear it on solo rides or screw off rides with my buddies...

on a side note, I've never read anything good about knockoff jerseys so I steer clear of them...

I got the team BMC replica jersey/bib set off of chainlove for $50 and I wear. While I ride my Specialized bike...

I'm rarely in the company of anyone who has even heard of BMC, the Tour de California, or anything on any of the other jerseys I own, so for me it's a combination of figuring no one knows the difference and not caring if they do.

man up and buy the Team Sky jersey from Rapha. It's great quality and authentic. Illegally produced chinese knockoffs suck.

Except the knock offs are probably made by the same people in the same factory and sold legally for a fraction of the price

The only pro jersey I have I got as a Christmas present a long time ago. So now it's vintage. The team was Chevrolet/L.A. Sheriff.

When I irst started cycling 42 years ago my first really nice, wool, scratchy in those days, all white with blue green red and yellow bands around the chest. It wasn't until years later I realized I was tooling around on a schwinn with the world champion jersey on. Point is I bought it cause I liked the look. I'm still doing the same thing and could give a fark what anyone else thinks of it. I suggest you do the same.

no chinese imitations are sold "legally". They are copyright infringements and trademark violations. They are not sole legally.

When I first started riding, I bought a few jerseys from probikekit.com when that's all they actually sold. They are too big now, but I still hold on to them in case I get fat again.

I especially like my Mercatone Uno jersey.

Multiple club jerseys, some assorted (non pro team jerseys) and a college jersey.

Go to the addiction thread, page 20, response #483 . This should solve your dilemma.

I have a vintage belgian something or other jersey from the 80's that I'll probably wear if I drop enough weight to get into it. Picked up an old PDM replica Concorde Aquila (1989 frameset I think) that I'm putting together. If, I can find a matching PDM jersey, I'd probably wear that while riding the bike occasionally. But modern stuff, not so much.
