Makes sense I seem to be putting it on every three weeks and I do very low milage at the moment, haven't seen that marketing you were on about but might have to see what else is avalible.

I'm a KMC convert. After I had a SRAM chain break on me with only 1900miles on it, I followed a recommendation to try the X10SL and have found it to be excellent. I'm on my second chain right now with my CAAD and got over 3000miles out of the first one, and am at 3200miles on my current chain without it showing wear on my chain tool. Given the life span, I don't really understand the mindset of worrying about spending $20 more (or whatever) on a good chain.

Cleaned my bike today and put the straightedge on the chain again, and wow it's even worse than I thought it was, nearly 1/8" stretched out in 12 inches.
