Looking to buy a Frameset. Need advice.
 

It's time to upgrade my alloy frame. I was wondering if anyone knows the best frame(with a warranty/guarantee) for around 600? I don't care about the brand as long as its light and has a good warranty. Alloy or Carbon is fine. I was thinking of getting the Nashbar Carbon frame but i want to see if there are other options.

I'm just throwing this out there but the Kinesis Racelight T2 can take 47/57mm reach brakes and has backrack eyelets.

And apparently Kinesis is a sub-contractor for other bike manufacturers so it may be a quality frame.

The Nashbar alum frame with carbon stays is a nice riding improvement over the Nashbar all aluminum. It is also lighter (3.24 lbs vs 3.46 in 58 cm). The geometry on them is a touch odd, being short and tall, but when you factor in the 74° STA, they aren't as short as you think. This is based upon owning and riding both.

Ultimately, you are asking an unanswerable question. Your wish list is unspecific, and your only criteria are weight and warranty. Most cheap frames don't publish weights, and have iffy warranties.

A couple hundred more than your budget but, the Specialized Allez E5 is a very good frame set....with a lifetime warranty to the original owner. It needs not make any apologies to the best bikes available. If you can find one of last year's frame sets on the shelf then you can save a little as I believe they were a couple hundred less. But there again, your dealer might work with you on a new one and they come with a seat post. Very good foundation for an inexpensive top shelf bike.

I'd have to agree with the Allez E5 frame. A little more money but it is nice.

What is your current frame? Why are you looking to upgrade? What do you like/dislike about the current frame?

The Allez is really nice. If i were to get the Allez, i think i would buy it complete for it to be more worth it though.

My current frame is a Duratec(EU Brand) I dont like it because its white/red and i need a bit bigger size. Also i got it used and i want a new frame so that i can take care of it. The few scratches it has really bug me. Its also around 2004 frame so i should upgrade
