Would it be worth the money to buy this bike and keeping just the parts?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The guy said "dura ace cranks and hubs shimano 600 brakes , shimano 105 derailur mavic rims all never been used ..frame Reynolds 531 double butted .. Dura ace headstand as well" I think the crank is a 7400 and the rest of the stuff, i have no idea

He wanted $350 i think at first but after a while he changed it to 190 and i just offered him $100 and he accepted.

If the frame is really nice, it might be worth repainting and outfitting with either vintage or modern parts. The existing parts could be very nice too, and you might have bought a nice ride. Time will tell.

Probably has a stop for a clamp mount. It's probably early 70's. Note the centerpulls.

That bike has a lot of potential. Parade it in the C&V forum and people there will tell you what you really have.

Yup.

Might want to move that bottom clamp on the down tube down a bit... Looks like it needs a new RD cable as well...

Did plenty of work on this vintage back in the late 70s, early 80s.
