Trek, yes a nice bike but I have no desire to own one. Just me?

Irrespective of the message you are communicating (multiple brands in one factory?), that Rabobank Giant is so hot! Sell your Madones, Super Six EVOs and Tarmacs boys! There is a new sheriff in town. Ay, yay, yay. Smokin'. With oversize BB, FSA Force Light crank; SRAM Red dearailleurs, shifters and cassette; Zero Gravity brakes; really light cockpit and 1,250 g clinchers what are we talking about? I'm thinking 12.5 lb sans pedals and cages. I better not let my wife see me ogling that one, she would be so jealous.

Giant bikes look good now but those Rabobanks are ugly.

Same plant in Taiwan- perhaps.
But Shakespeare and Hendrix and MJ and (insert amazing artist here) created both sublime art and human excrement from the same human body. So it is with bikes. You have your Specialized (sublime art) and your excrement (Trek) coming from the same plant.
(I'm risking a tongue/cheek injury here)

No I don't you'd be hard pressed to find a clean cyclist no matter how far you go back. This religious need to take out Armstrong left me with an incredible dislike and distrust of USADA/WADA.

I am surprised no one has yet mentioned the fact that Speach is owned by one of the if not the biggest ****** bags in cycling.

the bikes look pretty good, but putting the word GIANT sideways book spine style on the head/steer tube instead of their logo is like shooting yourself in the foot. it looks HORRID

I didn't really care what it looks like. I am old. I rode 2014 Felt Z's, Roubaix's, Synapse hi mod and bought the Domane with DA 9000. I am back to 3 hour hilly rides without major back an neck pain after the ride.

BTW....Merida was mentioned...
Lampre that used to be on Wilier, is now sponsored by Merida.
What I find ironic is that they are a sponsor of a team competing with all the Specialized teams, for whom Merida makes their frames.

Post LA-implosion seems like a good time to pick up a barely ridden high end Trek.
