I, personally, don't like it. Not a fan of TT bikes. So, I would mock you for other reasons than you think.

it depends on the amount of self-confidence you have.
personally, i have a lot of self-confidence, but i might draw the line at riding that bike, unless i was sure i could smoke anybody that even snickered.
if i'm going to get blown away by anybody, i want to have a built-in rationalization at hand. like "it's my bike's fault" or something similar. you'd be working without a net on that one.

I would ride the crap out of it. Although I am not a TT bike fan that is a pretty darn sick one. I say if you are into TTs and riding alone ALL the time, and training to be an Ironman by all means get it. Probably the sickest TT machine out there.
Now if you showed up with that on the local thursday night ride I would not like to be in front of you. I would rock being besides you talking for a straight two hours.... people don't like me for this.

Your bibs and jersey need to match the bike, as well as your shoes, socks, helmet; that is the only way not to be mocked.

I'd only mock you if you weren't set up on it properly or you were out riding in some significant crosswinds, wobbling down the road, struggling to keep a straight line. Maybe not so much mocking, but giggling as I passed by.

I am an older and slightly overweight guy. That did not stop me from buying my Colnago C59--a bike whose abilities far exceed anything that I could possible accomplish.
Let others mock, I ride what I like while smiling all the way.

How much is it? The normal S-Works TT Shiv frame lists for $6k.
I was looking at some knockoff jerseys on ebay and liked the way the yellow TDF jersey leader jersey looks. But I don't think I could bring myself to ride around with a TDF leader jersey.

...not so much mock as ridicule. It's a subtle difference.

Just go to a regional-level triathlon. There will be like 5-10 guys in the M55-65 age bracket with that level bike and wheels, and only a few of them will be able to ride it faster than 20mph.

I don"t mock Ferraris and Lamborginis I pass on the freeway, I admire them and their owners who buy them to travel the same roads I do at the same speed limits.
Unless I started at the same place and time as another bile, you can not judge the speed and effort of another cyclist.
It is easy to judge a TT bike, until you learn they just swam some distance in a nearly frozen body of water and they were saving energy for a 13-26 mile run.
