Fizik Customer Service: Excellent

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fizik Customer Service: Excellent

Just want to share my experience. I thought this would be useful for some.

My Fizik Cyrano carbon seatpost had a deformation due to seat clamp. I think there was a calibration issue with my Ritchey 5nm torque key. This torque has destroyed 2 seatposts in total. I thought the first damage was due to my fault. But now it was confirmed by this latest issue. Anyway, I filed a warranty claim last week, hoping that some guy in their Italian office would answer. I received a response on the 2nd day. She apologized for what happened and asked me what size the seatpost was. No other questions asked. The next day, I got an email of an express airmail shipping confirmation from their warehouse in Italy. WOW! And today I got it. Extremely pleased with their service (Fizik or SelleRoyal).

Indeed. Using high precision industrial grade torque wrench now.

Did they ask for proof of purchase? Did you tell them where you got it?

I didnt submit the proof. But gave them the dealer where I got it from. They just released the seatposts 2 years ago so they are fairly new in the market.

Love my Cyrano post. Fits the oversize rails of my Kurve Snake. Good to hear they stand behind their products. But seriously sounds like your fault and not anything with the manufacture process. Definitely get rid of the torque key and go with a torque wrench. I have had mine about a year and it still appears brand new.

If you read my post, I didn't blame Fizik at any point. I praised them for their service. My intention was to let people how Fizik treat their customers.

Yes, Fizik is really nice. When i had my custom bike built, Fizik did send a saddle to the builder for him to cut the ISP and fit the rail clamp for larger diameter rails.
That is what i call nice people.
