Do you guys remember the Major who was around for like two days a year ago? Was real big on bragging about how he made so much money in the army and all us chumps paid his salary with our taxes...

I don't recall if he posted in the Road Cyling Forum but he had 30 threads with his name in the title, including birthday wishes from blonduathlongrl

There was a guy who left shortly after I joined that reminded me of the Major. The other person bragged about being in marketing and how much money he made. He claimed to had six Litespeeds and all were new.

Yeah, Litespeeds were popular back then.

Pcad was one of those posters who could pull off trolling in a good way. You really had to think about what you were about to post with that dude around. Sorry to hear he got sucked into the Corvette rabbit hole.

Funny - almost all of us left for other social media venues. A bunch of us were just messaging last week about the old BF days. One of our perma-banned friends started the convo after he had come back out here and made a new screen name and was insta-banned again. He didn't care much or try and hide it but was hoping to have some fun again. Ahhh....the good old days.
The best thing is almost all of those old names I still see daily on facebook. They're all active. Most aren't as active on their bikes anymore but many still are.

Indeed. I sponsor him. We are all very proud and honestly just consider ourselves lucky to be on for the ride. I have always said that the top performers in our sport are super type A or super type B. Anthony is the epitome of super type B. A joy to work with.

Here are a few standouts from the good old days who spring to mind:
Slvoid. What happened to him?
Geneman. I enjoyed his offbeat posts about his pet rock that he kept after it spat out from underneath his tyre one day
53x11 Alltheway. He was a classic, who seemed to rub plenty up the wrong way.
Don D. He had lots of amusing arguments with Thylacine who, incidentally, no longer makes frames.
Doc Ray? DrPete.
ke422azn22: He crashed and burned after stirring up lots of "traditional" members, including myself a few times
Khuon...
Alan bikehouston; is he still here?
Trev Doyle; he really belonged on Weight Weenies
Ben Cousins; woah, he stirred up trouble for a while
Eh,,,,so many.
I reckon that even the most addicted forum users fizz out after 2 or 3 years. I mean, reading the same over and over can only be done 40 or 50 times

I think he was hit by a car and killed. It was a while ago, 7 or 8 years I think. I was trying to think of who it was recently as we've had a rash of car vs cyclist fatalities in Vermont this year and I thought about the BF guy who got hit. He did post a lot in the Bike Mechanics forum and was less than tolerant of those who knew less than he did, which is what I liked about him.

I do miss his posts. I know that he had knee replacement and that took him off of the bike for a while...

He had some unique expressions but was pretty knowledgeable...
