586 or 675

I've narrowed my bike down to either the 2013 Look 586 or 675. I was originally looking at the 2012 586 but somehow overlooked that it doesn't have interior cable routing... so now it's out. What are your thoughts on one over the other? I do want to race it and am wondering if the 675 will be a good bike to race. Thoughts? Thx!

I would go with the 586. I don't care for the geometry on the 675. the 586 frame just looks good. are you able to ride them?

If you're just starting to race, both bikes are better than you. :) Buy what fits you and your budget, and the one you think is prettiest.

675 owner here.

I'm coming off from a peloton tested frame and the 675 is heaven sent. I was looking for a frame that just has the right stiffness without getting beat at the end of a ride. It's future-proof too in case you'd like to go electronic (I personally run Di2). You can race a Walmart bike. I'm sure the 675 would do the job.

Be very careful about the frame sizing. They run big - notice the stack and reach.

Where are you buying it from? I might be able to help you on a good deal.

Haha.... thanks all. Buying from a local Chicago shop. They have the 675 in black. Looks like it will run me just shy of 3k. The reviews suggest it's both a great bike and has the best of both worlds (comfort for longer rides yet fast enough for racing). The design is growing on me. I'm a big fan of the 695 but not ready to drop that much $$$ yet.... especially when I have a Chicago wedding to pay for next year. This is meant to get me onto cycling and possibly racing, while having the ability to add some upgrades to the components and leave the frame alone. If I fall in love with cycling, like I think I will, then I'll look at getting a 695 in a few years.
