Argon 18 Titanium, Help!
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I'm kind of new here, I've been reading this forum for awhile now and it has helped me in multiple occasions but I haven't started a post before until now... I would like to buy a Titanium frame for my build and I came across an Argon 18 Titanium frame but I don't have much information of it and Google is not helping at all. Does anyone have any experience/opinion with the Argon 18 Ti bike/frame? this is the frame: http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=364945 thanks in advance for your help guys! Cheers -AG |

Buy it.

You may want to contact Argon with the serial # to verify it is legitimate. All of the images I can find have a larger head tube with recessed headset. Where did you find this for sale?

You could really shame him by linking to the specific model the OP shows in his pic.

The frame the OP is asking about is not current.
So yeah, 'really'. I have enough hands to hold in the real world. |

And it is my job to type the $%&^(* message to the mfr asking about the bike too???
I have enough hands to hold in the real world. If so, I'm guessing the people on the other end of those hands are actually trying to get away. |
Someone piss in your corn flakes this morning? He is looking for info and opinions. First things first, since he doesn't know anything about the bike to begin with. You haven't offered up anything except to poke me with a stick. Feel free to bite my shiny metal a$$.

If I am wrong, I apologize. But either way, if you are at all concerned about your perceived attitude you may want to review your posts in this thread. |
Should I post the entire search result here??? Bikepedia has pretty much no info on Ti Argon 18 frames, and the few I have ever seen, in person and in photos have been bare Ti, so I am not sure what model this even is- can't pin down a year, and all of their other models (CF or steel) have the model name on the top tube, not the brand. Since he has found no other info himself, the fist thing I would do, if I were looking for info on an uncommon brand, would be to contact the mfr, and find out when they made Ti frames, and maybe even send the photo and ask if they can ID the year and model.
I apologize if only posting a link to the mfr website, which has a conveniently located "contact us" link, wasn't enough info to keep you taking a shot at me. I at least provided something, and it only took a second. And the others who have chimed in haven't added anything other than to pile on. I may be snarky, but there was at least a starting point in my post. Bender quote still applies. |

thanks guys for your comments (good or bad) I appreciated them!
apparently its a 1999-2000 Frame. it might have come with Dura-Ace group. I did contact Argon18 but I haven't got any answers. The owner told me the frame is "M" with a the Top tube of 53cm and the Seat tube 50cm. I need a 55-56cm TopTube for a road bike but I want to use this frame for a Triathlon so I think I can benefit from the smaller TT. cheers! |
Argon 18 in titanium? wow.
