I figure I'll sport SU colors until they let me down. Again. Then I'll find someone else to pull for.

I'm not rabidly committed to anyone in particular this year.

Usually my bracket blows up the first day during something like the Wofford/Florida match-up. I'd like to see Gonzaga take it but that would be quite the long shot.

They're always in it, putting a scare into somebody.

I can see patches of lawn now. Soggy lawn from snow melt. But it's a start.

20°F Benson and I can walk on top of the 4 foot drifts.

It'll probably be mostly gone by the end of the week.

They're facing OK State in the first round. This is gonna be fun!

Finally, a ride with nice weather, and not much wind.

datlas 03-16-14 06:03 PM

Back from dad's 80th Bday party.

Now trying to extricate viri from computer.

Using iPhone in the interim.

Yesterday was a strong warm tailwind on the mostly downhill ride back... I pretended to be a real cyclist, speeding along like I know what I'm doing....

75 minutes on the trainer for me. Sunny, but only 18°F. Can't wait 'till its gets warm enough to get outside.

Ramona_W 03-16-14 06:45 PM

The bracket is done! Let the games begin. Unfortunately, I will be in 8 hours of orientation on Tuesday. No Madness for me. :(

20 miles, took pictures of a st patricks day parade.

Dannihilator 03-16-14 06:47 PM

Also the batch of beer I started a while back is complete and it is amazing.

LAJ 03-16-14 06:48 PM

I took no pictures.

That's a long damn parade. Our local parade is tomorrow. I've been invited to march with the Master Composter/Recyclers but I also enjoy watching from the sidewalk.

i met with the ladies cycling group today. we talked about riding. that's the closest i've been to a pedal bike in weeks.

I rode to and back from the place of the parade.

Thanks for asking. I wrote up a short speech this morning so I used that as a cheat sheet, and it went fine.

Why did you talk about riding (vs actually riding)? Do you live somewhere with bad weather?

Good deal. It's generally harder in your mind than the actual event.

it was a meeting to plan for the upcoming season of group rides which start in may for the club. there was discussion about scheduling and routes and picking ride leaders, etc. i mostly went just to get reacquainted with the group after taking a few years off from riding with them. that, and the organizer lives a block away from me.

it was 20° today. one girl who commutes year-round rode there. everyone else talked about how their computrainer classes were going and the indoor tt that the club's team placed 3rd in yesterday.

truckstop 03-16-14 07:51 PM

oh, and i saw someone out running on my block this afternoon. i've been hesitant to run in this neighborhood, but as long as i get a block or two south or west of where i live, it gets a little nicer, and it has gotten warm enough that the sidewalks are finally clear of ice, so i may give it a go this week.
