Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2003 OCR 2 for 350 CAD, is this worth it?

Hi all,

What do you guys think of this bike being sold on craigslist. It is a bit old but I am not sure if that would affect the quality of the bike too much. He says there have been no crashes and the only thing changed are the tires:

GIANT OCR2 54cm

Shimano Tiagra groupset, Shimano Flight Deck shifters, brand new Continental Grand Prix 4 Seasons tires, and Vuela Composite rims with Flat Spokes.

Bike is in fantastic condition! She has a few very minor scuffs around the frame, but runs beautifully and rides just as well. Always kept her indoors, and everything has been oiled beautifully. Retailed for $850 new and I am the second owner. Great bike for racing, training and commuting. Includes the Cateye rear light and an Abus D-lock with a safety cable.

Here's the full quality album: Giant OCR2 54cm - Imgur

Asking for $350 and the price is pretty well firm. Thanks for checking her out!

I've got a 2004 OCR2. I've upgraded it to Ultegra shifters and RD, new stem and bars. I'll probably sell it for about that price. It seems to be in line with what they are going for locally.

I'm not familiar with the exchange rate or your local market, but I'd pay about $275 for that around here. The cassette and chain are dirty (possibly 'done') and there are some rusty bolts. Kool stop pads would help with braking.
