Do these cleats suit Garmin Vector pedals?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do these cleats suit Garmin Vector pedals?

I've just orderd some Garmin Vector pedals (changing from Shimano SPD-R) and just wanted to check if the Look Keo cleats are the ones I need to suit the new pedals?

There seems to be a "grip" version and and "plain" or "non-grip" version, is the "grip" to do with walking in them?

Yes, they use Look Keo cleats.

Yes, the grip has to do with walking. Yes, the grips do help when walking. No, you don't want them. The grip wears/tears off quickly, leaving a very weird looking cleat and I'm unsure of their trustworthiness at that point. Plus, if you bought Garmin Vector pedals, you should be riding, not walking. You can get covers for the cleats if you really want (I'm always losing them and I personally hate stuff in my pockets--just me, though, YMMV). I just purchase my cleats at a very good price and go from there.

I disagree regarding the grip vs non grip cleats. In my experience, the non grip ones wore off really quickly, the front tab got paper thin on the side that I unclip and put a foot down. Also it was slippery to the point that I could barely take 3 steps. I stick to the grip ones and have no problems.

OP, Yeah, the pedals will come with cleats. Not a bad idea to have a spare though.

Yeah thanks. I have several pairs of bike shoes that I use regularly so require them all to be cleated up ready to go.

What they don't come with and should is a 15mm crow's foot for a socket/torque wrench.

It's needed to properly torque the pedals, and most of the ones you find at Home Depot, etc. are too thick. (Don't buy the Kobalt 15mm crow foot).
