PBK Socks (Roadies and Socks)

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

PBK Socks (Roadies and Socks)

PBK is running a special on their in house brand of socks, but they don't have a sizing chart for them. They come in S M and L. Anyone have experience with them?

The thread can devolve to that after I find out the answer to my sizing question.

In the interest of hurrying that along, I'd guess anything over men's US size 10 would need a large....

Since I wear a size 9-9.5 US size or size 42-43 EU size that answer basically just tells me I might be a M or an L in PBK socks. Using your guess. Which is as good as mine.

Well we'll either both be happy or both be pissed. If they don't fit I'm blaming @gc3.

finally! The answer is 4...or maybe 3 if you have smallish feet (i.e., smaller than size 10)...

Rule #27 // Shorts and socks should be like Goldilocks....
Not too long and not too short. (Disclaimer: despite Sean Yates’ horrible choice in shorts length, he is a quintessential hard man of cycling and is deeply admired by the Velominati. Whereas Armstrong’s short and sock lengths are just plain wrong.) No socks is a no-no, as are those ankle-length ones that should only be worn by female tennis players.

Rule #28 // Socks can be any damn colour you like....
White is old school cool. Black is cool too, but were given a bad image by a Texan whose were too long. If you feel you must go colored, make sure they damn well match your kit. Tip: DeFeet Wool-E-Ators rule

Merino wool socks are the bomb. I now have enough to ride with them every day of the week. For some reason, that makes me happy.

Sock size and shoe size are different. See this chart:

Shoe size vs sock size

In the US men's one-size-fits-all socks run from 10-13. So a size 10 sock is small and a size 13 sock is large. A medium sock would be about a size 11.5 or a 9.5-10.0 shoe. Men's, of course.

Are you taking into account that I ordered said socks from the UK?

I wear wool-e-ators most of the time. Or some smartwool that is heavier for cold rides.
