Help please asap with my bike

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New Bike Shopping :)

i found a few bikes I need help with.

bike #1 ) Fuji Newest 3.0 its electric blue color so I am assuming its an 07'? It looks like it is in good condition, a bit used up looking, he is asking about $300 for it.

bike #2 ) Trek 1000sl, 06' with carbon fork and carbon seat post asking $340 for it. Looks in great condition, brand new looking.

Bike #3 ) Newest 2.0 looks in good condition asking $400 for it. White with red (fav color so far) 2009 model.

I am new to biking maybe a few weeks but this will be my first road bike. I am 5'7.5 and I have read a 54cm should be good and maybe even a 52cm.

#1 and #3 are 54cm and #2 is 52cm. I rode my friends 56 and it felt way to big for me.

Test ride and buy what feels best.

If you don't know which feels best, buy the one you'll want to ride the most.

Which of the 3 seems to be the best bike and the best bike for its price.

My research has shown the 2.0 should be the best of the bunch ?

No offense OP, but not sure anyone is going to be able to really help you determine that those prices are reasonable without seeing pics.

The Giant looks too small ; for $3-400 , any of those would be fair deals IMO . As mentioned , a test ride will tell you a lot . All look to be medium size frames, which should be in the ballpark for someone your size .

For what it's worth, my first modern-day road bike was a Fuji Newest. Although I've added a second road bike to the collection, I still ride the Fuji regularly. It has 18,400 miles and still going.

My first bike was that trek 1000 you posted and while it's not light it's a great bike and I'm willing to bet it would fit you well in a 52cm.

I disagree that test riding will tell you anything. Any bike within the right frame dimensions can be fitted to your body's preference.

I personally don't think any of those bikes are worth buying. I'd much rather buy something from nashbar or bikesdirect.

I thnk I can get the blue 3.0 (2010) one for about $280 and the white 2.0 for about $400.

Can't really afford a $700 bike right now, nor do I really need it because I think i'll be riding 15+ miles 2xs a week only maybe once and a 10mi and less 2-3x a week.
