Dura ace 7700 value?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dura ace 7700 value?

Selling my 7700 group and got an offer of 250. Group works great and is in good shape except for crank arms which show age. Includes brifters, both brake calipers (br7403 not 7700) and both derailleurs as well as chain and cassette in good shape. No headset of bb. Fair deal? thanks guys

It looks like eBay is all over the place.

7700 Group Set for $170

7700 Group Set for $525

Obviously both of these are ongoing auctions, the $170 one could go up with bids and the $525 auction is a BiN. It's very possible that it'll never sell at that price.

Maybe a touch low - but fair. With no ebay fees and no hassle, I'd be tempted to sell around that price. I think $300 would be reasonable, but that might not be in the cards.

^^ You can search for completed auctions.

Looking at completed auctions, recent high was $524, recent low $289, with a number in the $400 range.

Based on that I would say $250 is a bit light, but its a bird in the hand.

Depends on how much effort/risk you're willing to go through to get more.

I think that sounds fair. After all the cranks are worn and the brakes aren't 7700.

That first link Softride posted is actually of my ebay auction so you can judge condition from that. It seems like I would get maybe 300 on ebay, so $250 cash sans ebay fees and shipping hassle is looking attractive. I think im gonna go for it, thanks again guys

Wait a minute...if you already have the group on ebay, I'd be tempted to let it ride. You have perfect feedback and decent pictures. There's very little chance you'll net less than $250.

I think that's fair after seeing the condition of the cranks. But on the bright side the shifters look pretty good.
