Fuji Altamira Online?
I've noticed there's little attention to Fuji Altamiras online in comparison to other modern carbon choices. Weather it be; reviews, photos, or anything else. I own one that I'm quite fond of, and think it rides great. (Even in comparison to other carbon rides of similar levels). I do know Fuji's marketing approach is very different compared to others. But any thoughts of the Altamira here?

My first road bike was an altamira 2.0, it was a good bike but I cracked the frame. It then took about 2 months to deal with the frame replacement so I bought a cannondale supersix evo in the meantime. I'd honestly say the two rides are comparable. Fuji gave me the geox team edition as the frame replacement, so no complaints there.
I'd say they're decent bikes and if you catch them right now, you can get a helluva deal on one from Performance. Old: http://speshuled.smugmug.com/Categor...17255140-L.jpg New: http://speshuled.smugmug.com/Categor...09485630-L.jpg |

The relationship with Performance is probably a mixed blessing. Certainly great for sales, but it's likely a bit challenging to build/maintain a higher-end reputation when your product is on sale more often than not. Even worse with listing(s) on Backcountry, a few on bikesdirect, etc. I like my Fuji, but I know it's nothing special.

I was doing hill repeats when my chain jumped off a jockey wheel and destroyed my rear derailleur. Somehow they were able to fix it, but I was still having issues when I cross-chained (again, the chain would jump off the jockeys). After a long day of riding and having issues with it, I tried adjusting the RD and thought it was fixed until I rode it down the street, the chain jumped again, took the RD with it this time, wrapped it around the cassette, but not before hitting/cracking the seat stay.

Their low prices sure are enticing!
