ralpha rant
yes, it is overpriced; but now it is getting silly. Just a couple of weeks ago there was an about 15 to 20% price hike across the range. And downgrading in sizing options... For example, all rapha caps now come in one size only.... So price increase = less sizing options. What gives? Me thinks their success has gone to their heads a little.

If you want to earn your status of the arbiter of what is or what isn't credible on a cycling forum, try double checking before criticizing. It was a reference to cyclocosm, his rants on rapha and his new ralph t-shirt, he's wearing one here: https://https://cyclocosm.com/2014/02/...february-2014/ -- its a spoof of the regular rapha t-shirts: get it? ;-)

Their Stuff is quality. If you dont want to spend the money on it, there are plenty of other options. Increase in price is always hard to swallow, no matter what price point or product. Thats retail though. Its a premium brand with a specific image, it's gonna have a premium price. It is the ferrari, red bull or any other premium brand of cycling gear. People that want it will pay for it. People that are on the fence will find other options.

Professional Fuss-Budget
So, yeah, I'm bored enough to check the Wayback Machine. Changes since 9/2013:
Lightweight Jersey = same
Team Sky Pro Jersey = same
Long-Sleeve Pro Team Jersey = increase by $15 (now $245)
Classic Bib Shorts = increase by $15 (now $235)
Team Sky Replica Bib Shorts = same
Team Sky Pro Bib Shorts = increase by $30 (now $290)
Merino hat = same
The cycling caps are the same price, but now one-size-fits-all. Like... pretty much every other cycling cap I've ever seen. I don't see a loss of sizes with the other products.
It's definitely not an "across the range" increase. Nor are such things so horrendous anyway; the cost of goods goes up a little bit every year.
And if an item is too expensive for you, then don't buy it. Problem Solved.

spelling aside, Op is a Gucci bag (or any other high end brand) functionally different/better than a no name brand bag for $25? see, "you have money, you buy what you want".
You don't like the price of Rapha/Ralpha/alpha then don't buy it. No one is forcing to you.
Also, you can go on ebay and search for the word "Rapha", based on the numerous listings it would seem the Chinese agree with your sentiments.
I hope this helps.
