Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks! It's by Alex Chiu, who's made quite a name for himself in NorCal race circles. Half the reason I bolted out of the pack was in hopes Alex might get a good shot of me.

The Storming of Thunder Ridge in May and Mountains of Misery the following weekend. 77 miles and 8,000 feet of climbing followed by 101 miles and 10,000 feet of climbing. Two Virginia rides I will definitely do again.

Who wants to see my butt? No one? Too bad.

Racing on a course the pros will use for the 2015 world championships. Good fun.
Before I catch any flak, those are my cleat covers in the pocket. Forgot about them. The added ounces are surely the reason I got dropped by the lead group and pulled.
