Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trek Madone 4.5 Ultegra Di2 upgrade?

Hello Bike Gurus,

I have a Trek Madone 4.5 (2012 model). I recently inhertied from a friend a complete ultegra di2 groupset. Question is, will I be able "upgrade" by group set to the Ultegra Di2 or is it not worth the effort. All comments are welcome!

Replying to see the outcome. I have a 2012 4.7, so stock cable routing is probably the same.

Nice friend!

They sell 'Di2 upgrade kits', it's just a matter of having external junction boxes, wiring, etc. Seems like only a few frames are specially designed for Di2, but many/most would work. Of course, my free advice is worth what you paid.
