After reading the OP's last two posts.... I'm suspecting that he's just trolling. If he's not.... he needs to get his head checked because he's extremely delusional bordering on crazy.

What would be interesting is having the OP posting a picture of what he looks like on a bike along with his Strava username. I'd be very interested to see what this dude looks like.

I've feared the same from the beginning. He's too good to be true.

Hey Hbrown, could you oblige us with a photo -- preferably with the madfiber wheels?

Anything that reasonably fits your self description in your posts will convince me. Please be real....

I don't ride often, but I use to upload my data to Strava immediately following my rides to see how my legs compare with other people who get to cycle frequently. Over the past few months, I've gotten lazy with uploading it. I still have a ride on my GPS that hasn't been uploaded to my computer. I might stick to only uploading a ride to complete the Gran Fondo challenges, and any other challenge I go for, otherwise I think I'm done. There are to many variables for cheating or dirty play to compete on Strava with a clear conscience. When I decide to test my legs against other cyclists, I'll sign up for a race, or at the very least show up to a drop-ride.

op, get your speedometer calibrated.

yeah, no kidding. He's using madfibers...His average cruising speed should be at least 30 miles per hour.

I think it is....

Just to clear something up. That was no where near a sprint. That was just ramping up my regular cruising speed. I just don't like unknown people riding behind me. They usually do cause crashes. Am I right?

In all fairness, cycling probably is a lot more fun if you're delusional.

Most of the guys here are torturing themselves on the trainer and doing intervals so they can suck a little less. Meanwhile, the OP cruises around on Madfibers and drops champions on his regular loop.

Speaking from my own experience, reality sucks. Hbrown might have the right idea...

What we've got here is Superfred. He should wear a cape and sport a big "F" on his chest. Of course, the cape would increase that CdA and slow him down, but when you can Cat 6 the paceline of your local hammerfest and cause "champians" to labor so much that they lose control of their bikes while just trying to match your everyday cruising speed, then you can sprint faster than Cavendish with no lead-out ... gee, you could wear three parachutes and still have your way with anybody on the road!

This thread is hilari-arse!!!!

I think you guys should leave him alone. Maybe your bikes would go up to 50mph if it was a ferrari too...

I use Strava. I have a small number of KOM's it is a fluke when I get one. I use it to measure my progress against me. Hill segments and loop segments tell a story when I filter to only show my data. I've hit 48 mph going downhill with a tailwind.......... A local Cat 3 racer that is on a mission for a cat upgrade no longer does Strava because it was no longer fun getting all the local segments.

Shimano on a Ferrari? Enzo is spinning in his grave.

I now realize that KOM's really meen nothing to me. I will always get them. I will always ride. But,

Let me ask you this, say you buy a box of ******* jacks, don't you expect a prize? You paid for it, you went to buy it, you took possesion of it. Then someone comes along and say's," you can't have it because I can't verify that you paid for it with change or bills". So we are taking your prize. Or you took the last box, so if I can't have it neither can you. What kind of sense is that? Why can't i get my prize?

+50mph is just a reference, some of the Kom's that were taken from me, were for uphills and downhills on the same street. Starting the ride and ending it.

I am no better than anyone. I just ride as hard as I could, for as long as I could, as much as i can. Its just bad that someone thinks I don't deserve everything that I earn.

People and the human race as a whole are sometimes very, very disapointing.

If you are in that kind of shape, can't you just go and ride it again to reclaim your KOM title? That might be a great new training goal...

Lots of spacers + lots of drop = frame wrong size?

Dan333SP 04-17-14 05:51 AM

I'm not going to lie, I spent a few minutes looking for the last name "Brown" on any segments in the Philly area along the Schuylkill. No luck.

Again OP- Why don't you share your strava handle with us so we can all revel in your "It's not a race... but it's a race" rides?

If that bike is a CF8, that's how it came equipped
