For helmet mounted mirrors, I'll vote for either the Safe Zone mirror, or the take a look. For handle bar mirror, there are many styles, try em and see if you like them.

+1 on the sprintech drop bar mirror, it's smaller than a similar one made by cycle aware (roadie) and the pivot point doesn't stick out so far as it does on the roadie. I tried both and kept the sprintech. It also doesn't move accidentally like the roadie did. I've seen another one called the Italian Road Bike Mirror but it looks like a pain to install because you have to put it underneath your bar tape and get the adjustment right before you tape over it. It's the smallest though and most discreet. Anyway, I really like the sprintech and after almost getting clipped recently by an (explitive) driver, I decided it was time for a mirror.

+1 Bike-Eye (my Roubiax wears it 6+ years).

Are Sprintech barend usable with flatbars? I bought a Mirrycle, but it is huge. I'm thinking of returning it for a Sprintech. Does anyone have any pictures of them installed on a flatbar bike?

They make some specifically for flat bars...

+1 on Take-a-look. Excellent wide and clear view. Very little vibration mounted to the glasses and you can scan a very wide angle behind by moving your head a bit.

+2, I won't ride without mine.

HubBub Helmet Mirror | Road Bike Rider

Just as an update, after reading this thread, I went ahead and ordered a Hubbub Mirror. I'd tried bar mounted and glasses mounted mirrors before and disliked both. So after reading the above review I decided to try this helmet mounted one. I wanted to wait until I'd used it for a good part of the season before giving it a review here.

My verdict: I really like this mirror.

I will say that when it first arrived I had a bit of trouble getting it locked onto my helmet properly, even after watching the company's youtube instruction video. And even after I solved that problem it took me a few rides and a lot of fiddling and bending to get it fine tuned just right. I had so much trouble getting it into position in the beginning that I almost gave up on it. But to be fair to the product I believe my trouble was almost certainly operator error. YMMV.

Now that I finally have it attached and adjusted properly I really like it. It gives me a good field of view to the rear (I can see the whole road behind me) and it doesn't vibrate much. So far it has stayed in position and hasn't needed any corrections.

A good mirror imho.

Oh nice. What product is that? Also is it effective and how is the field of view?

Hmm, I want to know too, though I don't have a road bike. I want to know because the angle tells me the field of view would be great for seeing birds and airplanes coming from above. Or, in the event the angle would be correct to see at ground level, it may or may not have a wide enough view to see my entire belly, LOL. How would you see past yourself and behind you with a mirror inside by the stem?
