45.1 in the drops and hanging on. I intend to surpass that this summer.

So far, about 35mph, which is fast enough for me. I'd hate to have a tire blow or other crazy situation happen at any point faster than that.

50 downhill 25 uphill and 30 flat for <1 mile....(probably a lot of tailwind in that cause I'm not that fast)......if you count up hills as downhills into up hills.........35 uphill.......I work well with momentum

51 or 52. I can't remember the exact number. All I cared about was going over 50. I did it here: Strava Segment | Brockway Summit descent to NorthStar
I had a high-speed wobble on that section once, which scared the crap out of me.

Touched 45 MPH descending into Cayucos, on a bike that wasn't mine, on roads that I'd never ridden before. Decided to ease up in the interest of self-preservation.

Down hill, about 45.
On a flat sprint, about 32 for about 100 yards.
My best ever thought was at the infamous 2012 Tour De Palm Springs when there was about 50mph winds (people were literally being blown off the road). The first 15 miles went directly into the wind and were miserable. The next 25 miles turned with the wind and I swear I didn't drop below 35 for the entire 25 miles and hit 50 a couple of times. It was glorious! I hooked up with a couple of other guys hammering away and we raced for about 30 minutes. If you have done the TdPS you know that back stretch with nothing but wide open road, no traffic, and gentle rollers before you turn and go back into town. Then it turned into the wind again for about the next 40-50 miles...brutal.
Here's a good video (not mine)

I've ridden so fast I thought to myself - man, I wish I shaved my legs so I could be that much more aero.

You know, there are those things you can use called (let me think) .... "brakes" that allow one to control one's speed. I am not getting paid to ride and win a race, so I try to keep it at a speed that I feel comfortable at.

52 MPH down Beatty Dr in Folsom with some braking (I am 230 lbs) but the older I get the sooner my brain tells me to brake. Comfort level at 43 years old is about 45 MPH. I suspect that will drop 1 MPH per year as I age......

Thought I was funny, but was not...
I can only hold 50k on the flat with a good tailwind or with a draft, and even then it's not for long.

43.4 mph here, I am aiming for 50 when I find the right downhill. I've only been riding for a month and a half though so I haven't experienced a lot of fast downhills.

I hear ya! I have a short steep section of two-lane highway on my regular commute. The speed limit is 45mph and with a little tail wind I can get 50mph or better coming down, so I usually take the lane. It amazes me how even though I'm well exceeding the speed limit, people still have to pass me. Incredible! It's like they just can't mentally handle not driving faster than a guy on a bike.
