I got the Allez E5 Smartweld frameset for $805 during my LBSes spring sale and it came with the headset, bottom bracket and seat post. It does use the same fork. The Tarmac I rode at the LBS did seem unresponsive. It was on a stationary trainer.

I want to ride one of those, the Spec. Allez/Tarmac geometry is really close to my black bike (tallish 190mm head tube on a 58) and longish for a 58 top tube. It might make a dandy replacement for the Flite should I break another one in half... or decide to sell it when I move.
