Pro-Lite Bracciano A42 tire recommendations
I just ordered a set of 42mm deep Bracciano rims with a 19.9mm width measured from outside edges to go on my new light bike build. These will be used as an everyday wheelset for good roads/paths, but not for racing, although I do race(challenge) myself a lot. I have another set of custom light wheels being built up(waiting on rear) for steep climbing workouts. Since this is my first foray into deep rims, I wanted some ideas on tires. Would you go with 23mm on front and rear, or 23 front/25 rear or vice versa? I noticed some companies(Enve) use a wider rim on the front for stability & reduced drag.
I'm thinking maybe Vredestein slicks for the tires as a possibility with Supersonic tubes, but I'm open to alternatives. Corsa EVO's wear a little too quick and are more flat prone than to my liking. Something with decent durability that's got a low Crr and will look good with these rims. NO COLORED SIDEWALLS! GP4000s would fit the criteria except for that yellow logo. Yeah, I know I'm picky. But when you drop a lot of coin on a bike build, you want it to look as good as possible.
Here's the wheelset(Gaudy=bling+1):

Schwalbe One, or Michelin Pro4 both meet your criteria.
23mm on both should be fine unless you really need the wider contact patch.

Schwalbe One came to my attention a few hours ago. The reviews are very positive. Any idea on longevity. I'd like to get at the very least 1000 miles on a set.

Doesn't every tire last at least 1000 miles ?

Regarding tire size for the A42, I'd probably stick to 23s if you prefer crisper handling, just because of the narrow bead width, although to the extent sidewall flex bothers you will depend on the tire, your weight, and inflation pressure. Personally, I was never able to really enjoy the handling of 25s on traditional bead width rims (lets say the 13mm range, because I don't know the precise widths of all the rims I've used, but 13-point-something probably covers most 18-20mm wide rims) because they were too bulbous, and I could feel the tire flex when pushing on 'em. So despite my clydesdale status, er, stature, I'd always ran 23s until I got wide rims.
Anyhoo, I'd take a look at Mavic Yksion tires with what they call "white labels," a great handling, supple tire with few graphics and just one small square of yellow, which would probably look sharp on the A42s. I know you said the yellow label on the GP4k bothered you, but are you talking about the newest, S-II model? It's just a little yellow "S", but if that's the case, then skip the Yksion recco! Otherwise, the Schwalbe One suggested earlier probably has the most discreet graphic tones out there. I just started running the tubeless Ones, and have been quite delighted so far.
