Well, forget Cav. He's probably at the doctor's office getting his shoulder checked out or refilling a doping prescription. You need to think BIGGER, and I think you're onto something by going straight to Oakley. That way, most of the peloton can get faster, and frankly I like Marcel Kittel better anyway, mainly because of his hairstyle.
I think you should submit your designs along with Strava data showing the benefits to Oakley, Rudy Project and POC. I think your chances are probably best with POC. Good luck. Keep us posted.

This was on the cx bike, so not that low of a position.
Works pretty well, but would take some getting used to (as it does while belaying- but you're not moving then). It's easy to look over the prisms while more upright.
You also get a nice view of the clouds.

The link was in post #62 , & 71.
They are commercially available for rock climbing, so that you can see the climber above you while belaying, without neck strain.
I don't plan on actually using them for cycling, but if I did time trials, I might .

Ah, right. sorry. Thank you. I now see that they are the belay specs. I need prescription lenses so I would either have to wear them on top of glasses or attach prism to glasses. I may try out the latter route. I am finding that tall (goofy) specs are enough for me, but if I did time trials, I might try prisms too.

I think you are lower on your cx bike than most on their road bike. You are thin so you can go low.

In the pictures, I'm wearing the belay glasses over regular glasses. They have spring metal ear pieces so stay in place pretty well.

You can get frameless untinted wraparound safety glasses at some hardware stores for around $20. They work great & aren't quite so... umm... unique looking.
Plus, too, and also, you can get polarized frameless sunglasses in the WalMart fishing department for $5 to $15. If you scratch 'em, who cares? $15.

Wow! I'm glad that someone dredged-up this thread! These glasses are exactly what I need! Riding an aggressive position, I spend nearly all of my ride looking over the tops of my spectacles... Now the only qurstion is: Can they make glasses like this in my Coke-bottle prescription?

I wear contacts because my prescription is too strong to put in wraparounds. But, due to my advanced maturity, I can have problems reading the speedo. I may look into some self-stick reading inserts for my sunglasses. Non-spherical contacts are more expensive and the stick-ons would be cheap.

This thread is classic.
And I love how the OP resurrected it yesterday by replying to a post made in July – as if no time had elapsed. Like he'd just taken a nap for 8 months, lol.

Yeah, that's not going to happen , not on me at least.
What I find effective is a position change, here is how i do it.
Start riding on hoods.
Consciously straighten back from normal curved position by rotating pelvis down!
Do this by imagining you are making your pelvis Rock forward and down.
This straightens the back at the cervicle level reducing the angle of occipital cervical juncture, opening up the vertebral facets and decreasing nerve impingement pain.
Really works well for me.

Has anyone suggested he drop his seat 1 ft and level out his bars he could see like the rest of us. Even Quasimodo couldn't ride that bike.
