Ritchey WCS Zeta II thoughts?

I currently have some Mavic Ksyrium Equipe S on my Fuji Altamira, and I'm looking to equip something a step nicer. Anyone have any experience with Rithcey Zeta wheels? I'm fairly set on those, I just thought I'd see if anyone had any experience with them.

None at all?

Nope, sorry.

Build up your Hed C2 with White Industries hubs and cool double butted spokes?

Ritchey - cool name, cool products, sure. I have a set of Ritchey mountain wheels. After some many miles, the freehub failed. Local Ritchey "authorized dealer" could not get me a replacement. Ritchey does not reply to plebe users, nothing, not even "go to your authorized dealer, ass#ole."
Turns out that if you "know someome" - or in my case, know someone who knows someone - who's on the inside, of course you can get the needed part, for forty bucks.

Never, never again will I EVER choose a Ritchey part.

NEVER.

Those are my thoughts.

You just have to remember that Ritchey wheels are mostly re-badged wheels from large manufacturers. I had a set of Ritchey wheels a few years ago...they were ok...nothing spectacular, and worked well. But I knew all along that they were just Neuvations and were basically the exact same wheel I could buy at Performance or a number of shops. That being said, I only paid $100 for them on Craigslist and they were in great condition. They went along with the last road bike I sold. All of Ritchey's components are built by other people (sans the few frames he personally builds himself each year), which includes stems, seatposts, saddles, cranks, etc, etc... I should point out that I don't know anything about the Zeta's though. Just my .02 on Ritchey stuff.

Why are you 'fairly set on these'?

I have good experience with Ritchey products, but never owned wheels by them. (My Fuji's whole "cockpit" is Ritchey). I know they're the style I'm looking for as well because I need endurance/climbers. There's hardly any flats around where I live, and roads are rough, so I took any sort of deep rims out of the options.

Now I'm starting to question weather it would be worth the investment. My Ksyriums are doing me alright.

There are dozens of other brands that are superior to ritchey wheels

1440g is a respectable weight for a 23mm wide clincher.
