Chainring bolts
Hi, this might be a stupid question, but is it normal that the 3 out of 5 chainring bolts on my new road bike werent tight enough ? I was able to give them several turns each.

No. Be especially careful if they're aluminum. You don't want to over tighten and break them.
People don't check chainring bolts. I've seen them not very tightened on a bunch of bikes and I check them on my own bikes because of it. I learned my lesson the hard way, losing some chainring bolts off my own bike. From the factory I've even seen them loose, whether on bikes (OEM) or a new crank (aftermarket). |
