Cleat compatibility help
Forgive my ignorance, I'm new to cycling and unsure if I just made a mistake. I bought a bike online that has look keo blades pedals. I wanted to go ahead and order shoes and cleats so they'd be here by the time I got the bike. I ordered these:
Product: LOOK Kéo Red Road Pedal Grip Cleat Now I see there is another cleat from look called the delta cleat. I'm worried now that I ordered the wrong thing. Did I? |

The one thing to know with cleats is the float, they usually come in different colors and the float can vary. I think The grey cleat is 4.5 degrees and the red one is 9 but I could be off. |
Whew...that's a relief.
I did did read up on the float differences and figured that more float would be better for me given my lack of experience. Hope I got that right too! |
The Delta cleats are for older Look pedals. Shimano licensed the Look design and used it for a while before they transitioned to their now-standard SPD-SL.
Shimano "Look" Compatible Pedals - Bicycle Parts at discount prices / the Buyer's Guide / Bicycle Parts at their finest! / Professional Bicycle Source / Bike Pro Lots of people still run the older Look and Shimano pedals so they still sell the Delta cleats. |
