Giant OCR 3, PRICE CHECK please help!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, that's the thing. The history of the particular bike you are considering is far more important than the history of that make/model.

Bikepedia is pretty helpful. It's probably worth around $250-$300 in great condition.

thanks for pointing out the bikepedia. i believe it is a 2006, but with my luck, bikepedia did not include a picture. however the description says color is "racing blue" so i guess it is close enough.

so that means this bike i 8 years old. thats pretty old for a road bike huh. i guess 300$ might be high price. 200$ seems more reasonable yea?

Which groupset does it come with?

I had the carbon fiber version 2005 OCR C3 with 9sp 105. It was a good starter bike that I bought used and sold for the same price 3 years later. Beware that 2006+ is probably 10sp in 105 and higher group sets. 10sp parts are a lot easier to find if you need to repair anything.

With Sora I'd say it's worth closer to $200 than $300. Sora is pretty basic stuff.
