Does the Giro Atmos come with a visor?
I'm comparing <280gram road helmets... the Specialized Decibel (their most expensive model) comes with a color-matched clip on visor, not shown:

I haven't seen mention of a visor in any reviews of the 2004 model, and the Giro website doesn't say. http://www.worldcycling.com/graphics...2/GI-AM4LS.gif Are there any other "high end" road helmets that come with visors? |
no

The Giro Pneumo comes with a visor, and they're now cheap compared to what they cost when they first came out. However, I have both, and as a road helmet the Atmos is, IMO, superior. The front pads don't collect loads of sweat like the Pneumo (which rains it down on you later) and there's less wind noise.
I wouldn't want a peak on a road helmet anyway - it obscures about half my field of view when I'm on the drops. |
No...thank goodness. :D

Yeah since people who wear the giro atmos are too elite to need a visor and it is highly unfashionable, it doesn't include one.

You can get a Giro helmet with a visor for $45.00

I know lance 2 years ago requested an atmos with a custom visor for training. I just bought a giro E2 that has a pretty nifty color matched visor (I know, I'm very proud..). It's more of a mtb helmet but when u take off the visor, the front looks more like a road helmet.
Since when did the pneumo come with the visor? I received one last year as a gift and there was no visor... |
