First True road bike for me

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

First True road bike for me

Hey guys, I just picked up a 2013 Specialized Allex Comp M2. I've been waiting 5 years to find a bike like this and now I can't believe I have it in my grasp. I used to have some knock off Seka road bike, which was a complete piece of &^%$#. Going from that to the Allez is absolutely no comparison, the weight is the first thing I notice. Every little piece of power I put down goes forward! I also picked up some Giro Carbide shoes and Shimano PD-M520 pedals.

Really nice looking bike! I love the red, my ONLY personal thought is that would look really killer with black wrap. Totally just my opinion. Enjoy!!!!

Beautiful bike. Practice using your clipless pedals in a doorway so you can brace your arm against the door as you practice unclipping. Once you begin riding with clipless pedals you will learn to anticipate stops to put your foot down.

Black seems too generic in my opinion, plus it gets hot in the sun. Thanks for the recommendation though.
