Cannondale Synapse Tiagra 6 C

I've looked at, and asked about several bikes, and I went today and looked at some. I was considering the Cannondale Sora 7, but like the look of the Tiagra 6 C better. How do you guys feel about this bike as an ethusiast level bike for an older rider who doesn't ride aggressively, very far, or very often? Is it worth the $1,249 asking price?

I have a '13 Synapse 105. I really like it.
I got a deal on it for $1300 out the door.
Year-end sales are right around the corner, if you can wait.
Synapse is a good bike and I always recommend 105.

I have a sora 7 and love the bike but don't care for the sora shifting. I would get the tiagra as a minimum but the 105 is the better choice.

Many others (including myself) have said it before; the new Tiagra shifts just as good as 105. Go for it.

I have a 2012 Synapse carbon with Tiagra 10-speed derailleurs, shifters, and cassette. It's a great combination. The Tiagra components work well and have been more durable than the 105 components I had previously. FWIW, I'm 65, and it's a great bike for me. The Synapse is the weekend bike. Weekend rides range anywhere from 25 to 100 miles. Go for it!
