What was your top speed today?
Riding around today, minding my own buisness, averaging 12 mph.. some mutt decided to have a go at me. Bumped it up to 22 mph, laughing all the way. What was your top speed today?

I was chased by a doberman once for ~2 miles. That's the last time I ever rode a beach cruiser.

He was a game little bugger. Came at me head on, full of p**s and vinegar. He literally was dragging a lame fourth leg, and it still was tough to outrun him, such was his will..
That's what made me laugh. Small dog, big b**ls.

Didn't make the start of LBS ride this morning due to a flat but managed to join them after 7 miles of riding. At mile 22 I pulled around the group doing 23mph and upped it to 26.4mph. Almost died. Still feeling crappy after a crash 4 weeks ago and carpal tunnel surgery 2 weeks ago. Hopefully after I have some of my 64th birthday pie and 130 mile birthday ride next Saturday I'll feel a little better and up it some more.

We did 57 mi. today. On one awesome descent I hit a pot hole somewhere between 40 and 50 mph. Hit that sucker straight on. It was hiding in the shadows of the road. Both wheels out of true but not so bad that I couldn't do the final 20 mi. as usual.

A Ford Ranger coming off the beach passed me just as I turned off the MUP so I drafted him for about a 1/2 mile at 25.
