Trek Boone

I wanted to post a couple pics of the new bike. I totaled a Domane and needed a new bike. Trek did me right with a crash replacement discount.

I purchased the Boone 7 instead of another Domane since I'm going to use it on a good bit of gravel grinders. The Boone will also be my primary road bike. So far I've only put about 300 miles on it, but am satisfied. I don't have my power back yet & I'm pretty light so I'm not the best person to ask about how much flex their is. However, I can say the bike is very comfortable to me. This bike uses 6 series carbon vs 4 series that I had on my Domane.

I don't know why one pic is upside down. I guess you can just stand on your head if you want to view it!

That's a sweet bike. Much stiffer than the domane?

I like the color.

Congrats on the bike. Would you say it is an upgrade or downgrade compared to the Domane?

It's definitely an upgrade for me but it's really comparing apples to oranges. The Boone has a better grade carbon, Force22 and aero wheels. My Domane had Tiagra. The Boone is 11 v 10 for the Domane. I really like the range of the 11-32 cassette on the Boone. It will come in handy on steep gravel climbs.

I really liked the Domane also & would have went back with that route if not for the desire to ride more gravel grinders and possibly do a few CX races.

Very Nice, Use it in good health.

The fork is really black on one side and white on the other? Or did that second picture just get possessed by demons?

Looks good. I like the Boone and I think the Iso Speed damper makes a lot of sense on that bike. I would probably go with disc brakes so that I didn't have to deal with cantilever brakes.

BTW, you probably flipped your phone upside down when you took the second picture.

Yes, the black/white paint up front is what I liked most about the paint. The green is very, very bright in person. Some probably wouldn't like that.
