Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rol Volant RT

Is anyone here using the Rol Volant R/T wheels. I'm thinking of upgrading and would like to have comments from someone riding Rol wheels. Thank you.

I have ridden the D'Huez and Race SL models but not the Volant. I think they have the same hubs as the Race SL, and I got 20,000 trouble-free miles from that before I upgraded to the D'Huez, which I did because I went to 11 speeds and the older Race SL was not upgradeable to 11. I think they build good wheels.

Have 2,000 miles on my ROL Race SLs - no problems and great wheels. I was originally gonna go with the Volants but in emailing with ROL for my weight (~160lbs) and experience level they recommended either the Race SLs or D'Huez 24/28s - very happy I made the choice of the Race SLs. It was around the holidays so I splurged for the higher end wheels. They're nice guys to deal with if you have any questions before you purchase.
