Brooks Saddle
Not certain if this is the place to post this but......................Had been having some saddle sore issues, took 2 weeks off to be certain everything was healed and purchased a Brooks leather seat. I am pretty certain the previous saddle was the culprit with regard to the saddle sores. Love it, however, went for a ride this morning early and slid all over the stupid thing the entire time. I have the seat perfectly level, should I trim the nose up a little to keep me slid back into position on it or what am I doing wrong?

I've found with my Brooks saddle I need the nose up just a touch.

yup nose up just a little, as sweat and grunge work their magic the saddle will be a little less slippery.
|
Once my B17 broke in I had to readjust nosing the tip down a little......still riding with it for six years....

Mine are both set pretty flat. The black one in front is brand new. I don't "slide around" on it.
I always find it odd when people complain about exactly the same product I have, and about a problem that I've never experienced. I've found both of these seats to be comfortable right out of the box. I think they're both set at about level, and there have been no issues whatsoever. (I ride 200 - 300 miles a week, almost all hills). Yes, these seats are hard, threatening to become uncomfortable quickly. Odd thing, though - the threat never materializes. I just ride mine and don't think about the seats anymore. Buttloads better than riding on any man-made material. It's the leather. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=394236 |
Wow, the one on the left is aiming sky high.

I have tipped the nose up once, went out this morning for about an hour or so and gonna give it another tweak this afternoon. It is getting very close though. Think I am going to like it a great deal when it gets a little broke in.
