So what kind of beer are you drinking since the tour started?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do the Michelob Ultra and Heinekin commercials make you pine for their product? I must admit that I do like a Heiny every once in while though I don't care much for their commercial. The Ultra....too watery though I like the chick mounting the surfboard on their commercial. I tend to switch around a lot. I'll go for a nice craft beer for a while and then switch off to something else. I'll even go for something light like a Bud or a Coors every so often though some here may say they taste like pigwash; cheap and refreshing on a hot day. How bout yourself?

I brew my own beer. I don't care for the "beer" sold by the inter-galactic mega corporations.

Mostly Stone IPA but sometimes Ballast Point Sculpin IPA like Bridgeport would make if they weren't afraid of flavor.

Having psychologically come to grips with $15/6 pack beer I'd drink more Sculpin if my corner store carried it.

I don't drink often, but when I do, I prefer "nicer" beers (nicer, I must say, isn't always more expensive!)

After a ride, though, if I am in the mood for a beer, I don't want a "nice" beer. I'm perfectly happy with an Ultra or other mass-produced typical American lager. That's about the only time I want one of these... I figure it's kinda' how Gatorade works. When you're just wanting to enjoy a drink, you're probably not going to be impressed with the watery taste of Gatorade. Conversely, when you're working out, you probably don't want a Coke or other "full flavored" drink.

Go figure...

As for the tour & commercials... I'm a pop-culture reject. I don't even have cable TV. Heck, I don't even have an antenna for the TV we have!

The Rejewvinator is the only HeBrew I see around here, but it is a fine series.

My go to beer is Summit Extra Pale. Anything Rush River is what I really want, though. If you don't live in MN/WI, too bad for you.

My daughter texts me tour updates in play-by-play patter during the end of each stage. Pretty exciting, like reading the old ticker-tape sports feeds for radio rebroadcast.

Unfortunately, my wife and I disconnected the cable beginning in June, saving ~$70 per month. : (

No beer for me either, I gave it up about a decade ago.

NPH really should put his pants back on.

Or just not tell us about them.

I guess playing cards with Kenny Rogers is all about being comfortable.

I brewed a SN Bigfoot clone a few months ago back. It's just now coming into it's own.

If it's anything like Bigfoot, it should age well. Don't drink them too soon.
I have some 10+ year old Bigfoots in the basement. Not much carbonation, but that's ok.

I'm in a Mexican beer phase right now.
But tonight I'll be drinking red wine at a tour de france viewing party.

I normally don't touch it during the week. On the weekends though, I like my IPAs. New favorite is Cigar City Brewing Jai Alai. That is the perfect IPA to me.
