Addiction XXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have had the same gig going with these classic car races. It was his Christmas gift, I've already been getting bonus points for 8 months. Now the event has exceeded expectations and I'm getting even more bonus points. Plus his race friends helped be organize it, they've been texting all weekend to see how it is- the result? Friend jealousy. Trifecta of bonus points!

Plus I've had a great time too, I thought it would be painful.

Meanwhile, I've been watch Neil Degrasse Tyson's "Cosmos" and I'm continually stunned that it originally aired on a Murdoch network.

We went to the Theatre Royal last night to watch another show. It didn't quite hit the mark like Journey's End earlier in the week. Maybe after the gym workouts, we weren't in the mood for a comedic take-off of The 39 Steps. I would have preferred the dramatic version.

And it didn't help that there was a block of flats, and her fat-head boyfriend lovie-dovying it up right in front of me for the first act. Fortunately, we were able to move seats along two for the second act.

Still we got all dressed up to fit the 1930s theme, and got a few nice comments about our garb, which was half the fun!
